CraftUp permits limited reuse of short excerpts from CraftUp-created text that is publicly available on craftuplearn.com. The permission is meant to make normal quotation, citation, review, research, education, and source-linked references straightforward without granting a right to republish whole pages or reuse unrelated CraftUp assets.
What this permission covers
It covers short excerpts of CraftUp-created public website text. That can include text from articles, public learning pages, guides, glossary entries, resources, topic or comparison pages, and explanatory text around public tools.
It does not grant rights to material CraftUp does not control, or to software, source code, app binaries, APIs, private app content, customer or user data, logos, trademarks, brand assets, or images, illustrations, screenshots, video, audio, and other media unless a specific page or asset says otherwise.
What you may do
- Quote a short excerpt for editorial or educational purposes with clear attribution to CraftUp and the original source.
- Cite or reference CraftUp in a summary, review, research note, newsletter, academic work, or similar publication.
- Use a short attributed excerpt in a commercial publication or service, provided the use remains excerpt-level and follows these same rules.
- Use short excerpts in AI systems under the same excerpt and attribution rules described on this page.
“Short excerpt” is intentionally qualitative. This page does not create a word, sentence, paragraph, or character-count safe harbor.
How to attribute CraftUp
Identify CraftUp and the original source page. When the medium allows links, use the direct source URL rather than only the CraftUp homepage. A simple citation can look like this:
CraftUp — “[Page title]”, [direct source URL]You do not need to use that exact wording. A normal citation style is fine if it clearly identifies CraftUp and the source. In print or another medium where a clickable link is not practical, identify the source in the normal way for that medium.
What this permission does not cover
- Republishing an entire CraftUp article, guide, lesson, or other page, or reproducing substantially the whole page under this excerpt permission.
- Systematically mirroring or republishing full CraftUp page bodies in bulk.
- Removing attribution or presenting CraftUp material as your own.
- Reusing third-party quotations, trademarks, logos, screenshots, embedded media, open-source material, or other third-party content as though CraftUp licensed it to you.
- Publishing a full translated or adapted version of a CraftUp page under this short-excerpt permission. Contact us first for that kind of reuse.
AI systems, crawling, and bulk machine use
The AI permission above is an excerpt-level permission: short CraftUp excerpts may be used under the same attribution and republication limits as other quoted excerpts.
This page does not state a blanket permission or prohibition for model training, fine-tuning, dataset construction, embeddings or vector databases, or persistent full-content retrieval corpora. If your use depends on storing or processing CraftUp content at that scale, contact us about the specific use.
Crawler access is a separate technical question. CraftUp's robots.txt controls crawler access; it does not replace the reuse rules on this page.
Tools, templates, and specific assets
Some CraftUp tools, templates, downloads, or generated outputs may have their own copy, export, download, or use instructions. Those specific instructions apply to that asset or output and are not reduced by this general public-content license. Likewise, a separate license attached to a third-party or open-source component continues to apply to that component.
When to ask first
If you want to reuse more than a short excerpt, reproduce a complete guide or lesson, use media or brand assets, build a bulk content corpus, or make another use not addressed here, use CraftUp Support or email support@craftuplearn.com. Include the source page, what you want to reuse, roughly how much, and where or how you intend to use it.
These are limited permissions for the covered uses described above. Other rights remain reserved. This page does not transfer ownership of CraftUp or third-party content, and it does not limit rights you may have independently under applicable law.
